The Government of Karnataka, through a press note dated 24th December 2024, confirms that factories/establishments must pay a contribution of Rs 20 from each employee and Rs 40 from the employer for each employee, totalling Rs 60 per employee. The payment must be made through online payment only. The last date for payment of the contribution is 15th January 2025. Any delay in payment will attract penal interest at the rate of 12% per annum for the first 3 months, and 18% per annum thereafter, on the amount due
